 A study by the National Institute of Health has found that age-related macular degeneration is a nutrition responsive disorder.  The amount of certain nutrients you eat will effect the health of your eyes.  LUTEIN, ZEAXANTHIN, VITAMIN C and E, COPPER, and OMEGA FATTY ACIDS are necessary for good overall eye health.  Multivitamins do not have sufficient quantities of these minerals to support eye health, and most people do not eat enough of these nutrients in general.



During your next eye examination, ask Dr. Lippiatt and Dr. Abraham how you can improve eye health, including relieving dry eye symptoms, by starting or changing your vitamin supplementation to include the right amounts of these important nutrients.
