KIDS and CONTACT LENSES

The study investigated how much kids like themselves when wearing contact lenses as opposed to glasses.  Kids reported improvements in physical appearance, athletic competence, and social acceptance.  Parents should take this added benefit into consideration when their kids start asking about switching to contact lenses.  There are many, many different types of contact lenses available so most kids can wear them successfully, even at younger ages.  Kids will also be able to try wearing contacts for a period of time before having to order their contact lenses.
